Reports Guide

Dataplane Reports includes dozens of built-in, ready-to-run reports to get you as fast as possible from questions to answers.

The following directory shows all the reports currently available in Dataplane.

Current Metrics Reports

Take a snapshot of the current status of your projects and programs. These reports return results based only on the current values of issue fields. No historical field values are used.

Track the ebb and flow of issue creation, resolution and closure as well as changes in field values over time.

Issues Entering Status by Date

Shows when issues entered various groups of statuses.

Issues Resolved by DateDisplay the number of issues resolved over time.
Time in StatusShows how long issues spent in various groups of statuses.

Evaluate key metrics across multiple projects and manage complex inter-project dependencies.

Advanced Reports

Dataplane Reports also includes the following Advanced Reports for power users who need additional report customization.

These reports offer the most control over report options but have a bit more complexity. They support custom fields, custom issue lifecycles and unique Jira configurations.

Tabular Reports
Issues TableThis report is ideal for building a table of issues data for export, including current field values and any additional computed values desired.
Project LinksThis report provides a summary of links that create relationships between different projects.
Issues Work Log TableThis report allows you to see work log-related information for the selected issues, including time worked and various other fields.
Issue Values Reports
Current Issue ValuesThis report shows a present-time view of a given field across all selected issues.
Issue Values by DateFor a selected issue field, this report provides a break down of all values the field has been set to over the given time range.
Issue Values Snapshots by DateFor a selected issue field, this report provides a break down of values the field has been set to sampled at specified points over a range of time.
Status Transition Reports
Time to Next StatusThis report charts average, maximum and minimum transition times from one status to the very next status.
Time From Status to StatusThis report charts average, maximum and minimum transition times from one status to another status, including any number of possible intervening statuses.
Numeric Field Reports
Sum Numeric FieldThis report displays the sum of a numerical issue field across a number of issues, which can be then broken-down by any number of selected options.
Sum Numeric Field by DateThis report calculates and charts the summation of a numeric field value over time.
Issue Values Snapshots Sum by DateThis report sums the historical value of a specific field, based on the values that the field had at specific points in history.
Project Growth Reports
Issues by DateDisplay a count of issues plotted against any standard date field or custom date field.
Time Tracking Reports
Work Logged by DateChart the amount of work done over time.
